Recommendation to Approve New Governing Council Member

On Friday, January 24, 2020, the Nominating Committee met to review and discuss two new prospective members for the Governing Council, Miriam Argueta and Diana Gutierrez.
Miriam Argueta is a consumer with the Lake County Health Department. Her application and resume are attached. She is enthusiastic and eager to become a member of the Governing Council.
Diana Gutierrez is a non-consumer and her application is attached.
The Nominating Committee recommends acceptance of the application of Miriam Argueta, but to table the application of Diana Gutierrez until a time the Governing Council is in need of non-consumer members.
With the acceptance of Ms. Argueta the vacancy left by the departure of Member McConico will be filled and the Governing Council will again have a board of ten members.
Suggested Motion
To approve the recommendation of the Nominating Committee and accept the membership of Miriam Argueta to the Governing Council effective February 11, 2020 with a 1-year term, and to table the application of Diana Gutierrez.
