Staff Summary
• Jimmy Thomas, manager of the Gurnee Truck Stop, Inc, has petitioned for a major modification to CUP for a PUD Number 7617 and PUD Preliminary Plan on the property located at 36725 U.S. Highway 41, Gurnee, Illinois.
• The petitioner obtained approval of the PUD Preliminary Development Plan by the Lake County Board on January 14, 2020. A Final Development Plan, consistent with the approved Preliminary Plan, has been prepared for Committee action. The applicant’s major modification request is not effective until the Committee’s approval of the Final Development Plan and its recordation.
• Staff is recommending approval of the CUP Major Modification and PUD Final Development Plan for landscaping subject to conditions listed in ZBA Number PUD-000524-2019 Exhibit A, attached.
