Staff Summary
* As part of Fiscal Year 2020 budget process, funding was appropriated to replace the roof of the Center Courts building.
* The existing roof is beyond its useful life and needs replacement. The new roof will be a four-ply system with a 20-year warranty and will improve the thermal efficiency of the building envelope.
* Lake County Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Simon Roofing through the TIPS-USA Contract to procure the needed service.
* Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, as part of Fiscal Year 2020 Budget Process, services were approved to replace the existing roof for the Lake County Administrative Building; and
WHEREAS, the existing roof is beyond its useful life and in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, Lake County Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Simon Roofing through the TIPS-USA Contract to procure the needed service; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized contract with Simon Roofing, Macedonia, Ohio for Spring 2020 Roof Replacement for 18 North County Street for Lake County Facilities and Construction in the amount of $1,120,964.
