RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided National Emergency Opioid Crisis Dislocated Worker Grant totaling $105,766 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS, this funding covers training expenses for displaced workers, staffing expenses associated with case management activities for the displaced workers; and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the program period of November 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $105,766 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county fiscal year 2020 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $105,766 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Rapid Response.
