Resolution authorizing an agreement with Globetrotters Engineering Corporation, Chicago, Illinois, for professional architectural and engineering services, as authorized on a task order basis, in a not to exceed annual amount of $400,000.
Staff Summary
* As part of the Fiscal Year 2020 budget process, funding was appropriated for repair and restoration projects identified in the Capital Improvements Program, Facility Assessment Projects.
* Architectural and engineering professional services will provide the design, consulting, project management, and commissioning services necessary to execute the wide range of Facilities' assessment projects. Work will be performed on a task order basis.
* The contract term is for two years with three, one-year term renewal options, subject to acceptable performance.
* The Lake County Purchasing Division received and evaluated Statements of Interests from 27 professional firms of which three were short-listed.
* In accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, the recommended firm is Globetrotters Engineering Corporation.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County wishes to complete timely repair and restoration of its infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, has identified task order authorization of design services as an efficient and effective means to secure the required design services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County has selected Globetrotters Engineering Corporation has been selected in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. Seq.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement, and any amendments, between Globetrotters Engineering Corporation in an annual not to exceed amount of $400,000 for architectural and engineering services as identified by Lake County on a task order basis.
