Illinois Department of Public Health, Comprehensive Health Protection Grant, Additional $15,000 for Narcan Distribution - Johnson-Maurello

As part of the annual Comprehensive Health Protection Grant for State FY 2020 (July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020), LCHD received funding for Narcan distribution. As this is a new initiative for the grant, dollars must be appropriated in the FY 2020 budget. The Narcan program will purchase medical supplies (naloxone) to be distributed in the community to help prevent opioid overdoses. The Narcan grant is appropriated in FY 2020 only.
Suggested Motion
To approve the additional grant funding of $15,000 from the Illinois Department of Public Health to support the Narcan initiative within the Comprehensive Health Protection grant.
