Provider Collaboration
* Offers were made to two APRNs, one for Zion and one for BMB.
* The physician at Zion resigned as of January 9, 2020.
* Three physician positions are currently open and being actively recruited for.
Clinic Operations
* The Coleman Associates work at North Chicago continues. The latest numbers posted by the pediatrician's team showed a cycle time of 57 minutes, no show rate of 18%, with a capacity of 87%. The next North Chicago provider to begin this process is Dr. Shami Goyal.
* With decreasing volumes at North Shore, Dr. May Hassib has been moved to North Chicago.
* We are working on a roadmap to reorganize the clinics to improve service and reduce wait times.
External Relations
* Rosalind Franklin University is looking at starting graduate nursing programs including a psychiatric nurse practitioner program. They have asked LCHD to collaborate with them on these initiatives.
* Dr. Zun was elected to Chair the Coalition of Psychiatric Emergencies.
Regulatory
* In depth review of compliance with the Joint Commission standards on ambulatory care is ongoing.
Behavioral Health
* Mid-January 2020, 12 hours/week of psychiatrist time will be added at 3010 Grand via telepsychiatry.
* A letter of intent has been obtained and credentialing started for a full-time, adults only, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at 3010 Grand with an anticipated start of January 2020.
* A letter of intent has been obtained and credentialing started for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Psychiatrist at Midlakes Health Center with an anticipated start of February 2020. She will treat all ages, including children and adolescent.
* A letter of intent has been obtained and credentialing started for a full-time, adults only, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Libertyville Health Center with an anticipated start of February 2020.
