R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Lake County desires to enter into a contract for watermain leak detection and locating services for Lake County Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the County has competitively sourced a vendor to provide these services through a public bid process; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for by publication for Watermain Leak Detection and Locating Services for Lake County Public Works; and

WHEREAS, invitations for bids were extended to 27 vendors; and

WHEREAS, a sealed bid was received from one vendor and opened in Waukegan, Illinois on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with M.E. Simpson Co. Inc., Valparaiso, Indiana, for watermain leak detection and locating services for Lake County Public Works in the estimated amount of $119,510.45.
