R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Grass Lake Road, County Highway 18, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, the corrugated metal storm sewer pipe under Grass Lake Road, 350 feet west of Sibley Drive in Antioch, Illinois, is failing causing a safety hazard for the traveling public; and

WHEREAS, on September 19, 2019, in accordance with Article 6-103 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the County Engineer of Lake County declared that an emergency existed and certified an emergency procurement; and

WHEREAS, a contract, in the amount of $162,029, has been awarded to Berger Excavating Contractors, Inc., Wauconda, Illinois, a qualified construction firm having the necessary manpower, equipment, materials and expertise to implement the determined repairs to the corrugated me...
