Provider Collaboration
• Jessica Barrera, APN, a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner in the STI Clinic at the Belvidere Health Center, started on November 11, 2019.
Clinic Operations
• Dimitry Petion, the new Director of Physical Health, started his review and modification of clinic operations.
• The Coleman Consultants continue their focus on patient services at the North Chicago Health Center.
External Relations
• A meeting was held with Rosalind Franklin University on potential grant and research collaboration with multiple possibilities identified.
• Physician assistant students rated their rotation in our Women’s Health Program as excellent.
Regulatory
• A policy and accompanying protocol were completed on the use of anticoagulants to ensure we are in compliance with the new The Joint Commission standard.
• The Health Literacy Policy and a protocol to instruct staff on how to approach patients with limited health literacy was completed and implemented.
