The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD) has a need to enter into an agreement with a contractor for the renovation of the 3010 Grand Avenue 1^st floor lobby and work area.

A legal notice was published in the Lake County News Sun on September 19, 2019, and the Bid document was posted to the Lake County Purchasing website.

An invitation to bid was issued and extended to 49 qualified vendors and sealed bids were received from 11 contractors on October 17, 2019, in amounts ranging from $1,264,900 to $1,699,000.

Boller Construction Company of Waukegan was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the LCHD in the amount of $1,264,900 on their Base Bid.

Suggested Motion

To approve the award of a contract with Boller Construction Company of Waukegan in the amount of $1,264,900 for the renovation of the 3010 Grand Avenue 1^st floor lobby and work area with funds to be available in FY2020 and to authorize the Executive Director or his designee to execute the necessary documents.
