Staff Summary

                     The Coroner’s Office has an agreement to participate in the development of the State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS).

                     The Lake County Coroner’s Office has been notified of reimbursement in the amount of $26,000 for participation in this system, which was unbudgeted.

                     The Coroner’s Offices wishes to utilize this revenue to purchase mobile cadaver trays and related equipment for the Coroner’s Office.

RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, the Lake County Coroner has received revenue from the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago related to its participation in the development of the State Unintentional Drug Overdoes Reporting System; and

 

WHEREAS, this revenue totaling $26,000 has not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the fiscal year FY2019 budget; and

 

WHEREAS, these funds will be used to purchase mobile cadaver trays and related equipment for the Lake County Coroner’s Office in an amount not to exceed $26,000; and

 

WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation, with offsetting revenue, in the amount of $26,000 as outlined in the attached chart of accounts, is approved.
