Resolution authorizing a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Teamsters Local Union No. 700, as the exclusive representative for the Correctional Lieutenants Employee's Bargaining Unit of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Staff Summary
* The CBA shall be effective for a four-year period from December 1, 2018 through November 30, 2022.
* Wages will increase 2.5 percent on December 1, 2018 and 2.85 percent on December 1, 2019. Wage increases will be same across the board as non-represented employees of the County on December 1, 2020 and December 1, 2021.
* The Employer and Union will re-open the wage clause, after Lake County and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police (Correctional Sergeants representative) settle their contract, to ensure there is a five percent differential between the top Correctional Sergeant wage and the Correctional Lieutenant promotional wage.
* The Union agreed to other contractual changes including but not limited to changes in the overtime formula and eligibility for holiday pay.
* It is projected that the cost of the general increase will be $11,846.71 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 and $25,689.58 for FY 2019.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Teamsters Local Union No. 700, has been recognized as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for Correctional Lieutenants in the Lake County Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, a Collective Bargaining Agreement has been negotiated with the Teamsters Local Union No. 700, as the exclusive representative of Correctional Lieutenants in the Lake County Sheriff's Office, consistent with the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act; and
WHEREAS, your Financial and Administrative Committee has reviewed and approved said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this the County Board of Lake County, that the Madam Chair of the Board is hereby authorized to sign the Collective Bargaining Agreement attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution.
