Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Integrated Behavioral Health Services (IBHS), $348,501 in Grant Funding and Related Program Income - Zun

On August 2, 2019, LCHD received notice that it had received $167,000 in new funding from HRSA as part of the IBHS program. Funds will support a new full-time Psychiatrist who will primarily work at the Midlakes Health Center. The grant will also support new Medical Assistant hours to support the Psychiatrist and additional Licensed Clinical Social Worker hours at the School-Based Health Center. The initial funding period is August 1, 2019 - July 31, 2020. LCHD anticipates a second installment in the 2020 grant year and then anticipates that $145,000 will be added to the annual Section 330 grant award.
In addition to the grant award, LCHD projects program income from new visits delivered by grant-funded staff to be $181,501. This, together with the grant award, totals $348,501 for the total program budget.
Suggested Motion
To approve $348,501 in grant funding and related program income from the Health Resources and Services Administration to support additional Psychiatry at the Midlakes Health Center and additional counseling at the School-Based Health Center.
