Staff Summary
* Grass Lake Road (Deep Lake Road to west of realigned U.S. Route 45), Millburn Road (Old US Route 45 to Hunt Club Road), and Old U.S. Route 45 (between North and South connections to realigned US Route 45), need resurfacing.
* This improvement will address identified non-motorized travel gaps through construction of a new sidewalk and bike path on Grass Lake Road (Deep Lake Road to west of Savage Road, and Beck Road to the Millennium Trail).
* This improvement also includes re-profiling a bridge deck and repairing joints in a box culvert on Millburn Road, and replacing a box culvert and storm sewer on Old US Route 45.
* This resurfacing improvement has been identified within the County's pavement management system, is included in the highway improvement program with targeted construction in 2020, and designated as Section 18-00999-54-RS.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Grass Lake Road, County Highway 18, and Millburn Road, County Highway 14, are designated routes on the County Highway system; and

WHEREAS, Grass Lake Road (Deep Lake Road to west of realigned U.S. Route 45), Millburn Road (Old U.S. Route 45 to Hunt Club Road), and Old U.S. Route 45 (between North and South connections to realigned U.S. Route 45), need resurfacing; and

WHEREAS, this improvement will address identified non-motorized travel gaps through construction of a new sidewalk and bike path on Grass Lake Road (Deep Lake Road to west of Savage Road, and Beck Road to the Millennium Trail); and

WHEREAS, this improvement also includes re-profiling a bridge deck and repairing joints in a box culvert on Millburn Road, and replacing a box culvert and storm sewer on Old U.S. Route 45; and

WHEREAS, before the project can be let and awarded, an appropriation of funds is required.
