Staff Summary
• In accordance with the Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Ordinance, 59 applications have been received for the Fall 2019 application period.
• This volunteer program removes approximately 210,000 pounds of trash and debris from roadsides and bike paths annually.
• A total of 34 renewal group applications and 25 new group applications were received during open enrollment.
• Eighty-eight percent of the Adopt-A-Highway sections are currently adopted.
• The Public Works, Planning and Transportation Committee must approve the allocation of roadway segments and the posted names for volunteer groups that have applied.
• A staff report is provided regarding the applications received and recommendations for allocation.
