On August 2, 2019, LCHD received notice that it received additional funding in the amount of $167,000 from HRSA as part of the IBHS program. Funds will support the expansion of telepsychiatry including contractual costs for the tele-psychiatrist, supplies for the delivery of telepsychiatry and additional Medical Assistant hours. The grant will also support additional Licensed Clinical Social Worker hours at the School-Based Health Center. The initial funding period is August 1, 2019-July 31, 2020. LCHD anticipates a second installment in the 2020 grant year in the amount of $145,000 which will be added to the annual Section 330 grant award.
Suggested Motion
To approve additional funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration in the amount of $167,000 to support the expansion of telepsychiatry and additional counseling at the School-Based Health Center.
