Provider Collaboration

                     Offers were accepted by Dr. Alvaro Encinas and Dr. Shami Goyal for the two Regional Medical Director positions, the hiring process is complete, and both started September 3.

                     Nurse practitioner Shannon Trocki accepted the position to replace the provider at the School Based Health Center and the hiring process has begun. She is scheduled to start September 16.

                     A candidate for the Director of Physical Health position was interviewed on August 21, and a follow-up Skype interview was conducted on August 28.

                     Interviewing nurse practitioners for the STI Clinic and Zion Health Center.

 

Clinic Operations

                     The Coleman Associates started their engagement to perform a “Dramatic Performance Improvement” at our North Chicago Health Center on July 23. There was a kick-off call on August 29 with additional phone training sessions scheduled for September 12 and September 19. Next all-day training is scheduled for September 26.

                     The next Town Hall meeting is tentatively scheduled for October 3 at the Belvidere Health Center.

                     Based on the feedback from the North Chicago Town Hall we are going to trial sick call at one site to replace open access. A sick call service policy and patient notification letter are being completed.

                     An empanelment process at our Zion Health Center is being trialed to better link patients and providers.

 

External Relations

                     The pharmacy resident from Rosalind Franklin University is scheduled to start September 30 and will be working two days a month in the clinics to provide patient consultations.

                     Physician Assistant students from Rosalind Franklin University start this fall in Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Women’s Health.
