Resolution authorizing a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the Metropolitan Alliance of Police Chapter 482, as the exclusive representative for the Law Enforcement Lieutenants Employee’s Bargaining Unit of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Staff Summary
• The CBA shall be effective for a three-year period from December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2019.
• Wages will increase 2.25 percent on December 1, 2016 and 2.5 percent on both December 1, 2017 and December 1, 2018.
• Wage increases for each year of the agreement will cost approximately $19,000 (or $57,000 over the three-year period).
• Maximum compensatory time accrual will decrease from 480 to 280 hours.
• Secondary employers will indemnify and hold the County and Office of the Sheriff harmless for acts arising out of the course of employment with the secondary employer.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Alliance of Police has been recognized as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Lieutenants of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office; and
WHEREAS, the Financial and Administrative Committee has reviewed and approved said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Board of Lake County, Illinois that the Chair of the Board and the Sheriff are hereby authorized to sign the Collective Bargaining Agreement attached hereto and made a part of this resolution.
