Staff Summary
* Thomas and Robin Van Sickle, record owners, are requesting a vacation of an unimproved section of Hickory Lane, which is adjacent to 25119 W. Hickory Lane, 25140 W. Linden Lane, and 43418 N. Private Drive, all of which are located in Antioch, Illinois, in the Morley's Subdivision. The portion of right-of-way to be vacated is 25 feet wide extending east 153 feet (on average) and consists of 0.09 acres.
* The right-of-way has not been approved or accepted by the Antioch Township Highway Commissioner. The Commissioner has no objections to the proposed vacation.
* The Board of Vacations held a public hearing on August 7, 2019 and recommended by unanimous vote to grant the vacation.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, on August 7, 2019, a public hearing was held before the Board of Vacations pursuant to Section 151.204 of the Lake County Unified Development Ordinance, as amended, on the petition of Thomas & Robin Van Sickle, record owners, requesting a vacation of an unimproved section of Hickory Lane 25 feet wide extending east 153 feet (on average) and consists of 0.09 acres, located in the Morley's Subdivision, Antioch, Illinois and more fully described as follows:

Vacation of the portion of public road known as Hickory Lane: lying east of the west line of Lots 63 and 67 extended north to the south line of Lot 47 and lying west of a line drawn from the northeasterly corner of Lot 64 to the southeasterly corner of Lot 47 in Morley's Subdivision of part of the east half of the east fractional section 1, Township 46 North, Range 9, East of the third principal meridian, according to the plat thereof, recorded May 8, 1924, as document number 239470, in Book "M" of plats, page 76, in Lake County, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, the petitioners are the owners of the following parcels of real estate, to-wit:
