Staff Summary
* Lake County selects professional engineering firms in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. Seq., and the Lake County Division of Transportation's (LCDOT) Consultant Selection Process has been approved by the Federal Highway Administration and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). The firm selected for this project was selected in accordance with this approved process.
* This project involves Phase II design engineering services to expand Lake County PASSAGE and will add approximately 18 PTZ cameras,10,000 feet of fiber optic cable, nine wireless connections, and three cellular connections to expand the PASSAGE network.
* LCDOT received and evaluated Statements of Interest and Qualifications from 11 professional firms, of which three were shortlisted and presented to a consultant selection committee.
* As a result of the interviews, the selected and recommended consultant is DLZ Illinois, Inc., with a maximum cost of $78,125.
* The Phase II design engineering services includes work associated with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) grant to connect traffic signals and install PTZ cameras on Illinois Route 59 in the southwest portion of Lake County.
* This improvement is included in the highway improvement program and designated as Section 19-00268-20-TL.
