Staff Summary
• Citrix Workspace currently provides secure access to Lake County’s remote workforce. The contract is set to expire.
• Purchasing identified an existing General Services Administration (GSA) contract that had been competitively bid and awarded to CDWG for use in purchasing any required software licensing.
• Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants.
• Lake County desires to enter into a contract with CDWG, for Citrix workspace licenses in the amount of $53,109.40.
• This software was included and budgeted in Information Technology’s FY 2019 Budget.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a cooperative purchasing contract with GSA to procure licenses that was competitively solicited and awarded has been identified for the purchase; and
WHEREAS, Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with CDWG, Vernon Hills, Illinois through the General Services Administration (GSA) to procure Citrix licenses; and
WHEREAS, Lake County desires to enter into a contract for Citrix workspace licenses to continue the license and maintenance service; and
WHEREAS, Citrix Server Licenses have been used by Lake County and is required to connect remote vendors and the public with secure connectivity to internal systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with CDWG, Vernon Hills, Illinois, for Citrix Workspace Licenses in an amount of $53,109.40 charged to 101-1300020-71230.
