Provider Collaboration

Offers were made in regard to the two Regional Medical Director positions and the hiring process has begun. One is scheduled to start September 3. The other start date is pending.

An offer was made to a nurse practitioner to replace the provider at the School Based Health Center and the hiring process has begun.

We interviewed two more candidates for the Director of Physical Health position. One on July 23 and the other on July 29.

Melissa McGee, Nurse Practitioner at our Zion Health Center, submitted her resignation letter. Her last day was August 2. We are currently interviewing a candidate for this position and for the STI Clinic.

Clinic Operations

The Coleman Associates started their engagement to perform a “Dramatic Performance Review” at our North Chicago Health Center on July 23 with an afternoon training session.

The Town Hall meeting at North Chicago was so successful that we plan to continue these at all the other sites over the next few months.

Based on a recommendation as a result of the Town Hall meeting, we plan to trial at one site a morning walk-in service to replace open access.

We plan to trial an empanelment process at our Zion Health Center to link patients and providers.

Staff huddles have been mandated in all primary care clinics.

External Relations

The pharmacy resident from Chicago Medical School started in July and is working one day a week in the clinics to provide patient consultations.

First year medical students will obtain clinical exposure in behavioral health starting this fall.
