Illinois Department of Public Health - Harm Reduction Community Linkages - $35,000 - Kritz

The Illinois Department of Public Health has awarded the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) a grant in the amount of $35,000 for the period May 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019. These funds will be used to expand harm reduction programs within Lake County including increasing the number of individuals utilizing harm reduction services. Per the funder, LCHD/CHC is anticipating a 3-month extension to the grant period making the true end date November 30, 2019. Appropriation is unbalanced as the majority of grant dollars will be used to offset existing salary and fringe benefit dollars.

To approve the funding of $35,000 from the Illinois Department of Public Health to support the Harm Reduction Community Linkages program.
