Project Scope: Approve expanding 9-1-1 project scope (technology) to include records (RMS) and jail management (JMS) systems.
Staff Summary
• Current project focus is 9-1-1 and emergency dispatch services; records and jail management are closely related, but not officially part of the project scope.
• Opportunity to leverage 9-1-1 Consolidation Planning Project structure to directly support improvements in Consortium-wide public safety information sharing.
• Can be a cost effective step to creating a pathway to common systems/technology across the broader 9-1-1 and public safety enterprise.
• With Operations Committee approval, will forward to the Policy Committee for approval.
