Staff Summary

•                     Lake County has provided affordable housing grants for the development of group homes for Northpointe Resources’ clients with intellectual disabilities.

•                     To leverage economies of scale that better serve its clients, Northpoint Resources, Inc. will transfer its assets, employees and programs to Aspire of Illinois, a long-standing Illinois not-for-profit corporation serving Northpoint Resources’ target population.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Northpointe Resources has provided housing and services in Lake County that going forward will be provided by Aspire of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Aspire of Illinois is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation in good standing; and

WHEREAS, Lake County previously provided affordable housing grants to Northpointe Resources that require ongoing commitments of affordability; and

WHEREAS, Aspire of Illinois intends to assume the affordable housing-related commitments of Northpointe Resources to Lake County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Chair of the Lake County Board may sign the attached Consent Letter documenting the agreement by Lake County, as provider of affordable housing grants and loans for housing currently owned by Northpointe Resources, for Aspire of Illinois to perform Northpointe Resources’ affordable housing commitments.
