Resolution establishing a Paratransit Lead Agency Working Group and appointing members to the group to identify the most appropriate lead agency to advance paratransit coordination and service improvements in Lake County.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee (LCCTSC) has been guiding paratransit coordination efforts in the County for the last 14 years to improve coordination, efficiency, reliability, and affordability of paratransit services in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the County, by and through its Division of Transportation and in coordination with the LCCTSC, completed a Paratransit Market Study for the Lake County Region in April 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Paratransit Market Study recommended identifying a new lead agency to advance paratransit coordination and to implement, monitor, and manage funds for future transportation improvement strategies identified in the study; and
WHEREAS, the County Board is desirous to identify the most appropriate lead agency for paratransit services in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, your Chair, requests the County Board approve the creation of the "Paratransit Lead Agency Working Group" as an ad hoc committee comprised of individuals with past participation, expertise and interest in transit and paratransit coordination; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that a "Paratransit Lead Agency Working Group" be created.
