Illinois Department of Human Services Substance Abuse Prevention Services Program Grant - Kritz

The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received additional funds in the amount of $8,092 through its Illinois Department of Human Services Substance Abuse Prevention Services grant. The additional funds will be used to support a promotional campaign addressing prescription drug use entitled “Generation Rx.” Funds will be used for printing, postage, mileage and supplies associated with this outreach work. The appropriation is unbalanced as some new funds will also be used to offset existing salary dollars for staff. The grant period is July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019.
Suggested Motion
To approve the additional grant funding of $8,092 from the Illinois Department of Human Services to support the “Generation Rx” promotional campaign within the Substance Abuse Prevention Services grant.
