* There was a public call for bids by IDOT, and a total of four bids were received, ranging from $12,090,769.99 to $15,450,000.87, and the apparent lowest bidder is Lake County Grading, Libertyville, Illinois, in the amount of $12,090,769.99.
* The County's local share of construction, based on the known bids, is estimated to be $4,881,450.
* This improvement is included in the highway improvement program with construction planned to begin in 2019 and designated as Section 14-00158-11-WR.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Weiland Road, County Highway 73, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic on Weiland Road, from Lake Cook Road to Deerfield Parkway, is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Weiland Road, from Lake Cook Road to Deerfield Parkway, could be improved by reconstruction and widening; and
WHEREAS, Phase III construction engineering is required to utilize federal highway funds for the above-described improvement and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) administers all federal highway funds; and
