R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its PASSAGE Program, desires to interconnect traffic control signal systems situated throughout Lake County; and

WHEREAS, ITS PASSAGE Network 2019 includes the purchase, installation, and maintenance of Siemen's TACTICS central traffic signal software; and

WHEREAS, Siemen's TACTICS software will allow communication with up to 125 traffic signal locations throughout Lake County; and

WHEREAS, MoboTrex, Inc., Volo, Illinois, is the vendor of the Siemen's TACTICS software in this area; and

WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is necessary.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Engineer of Lake County is hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement on behalf of Lake County with MoboTrex, Inc. Volo, Illinois, for the purchase, installation and one-year of maintenance for Siemen's TACTICS central traffic signal software.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated $42,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for these services, and designated as Section 19-00268-21-TL.
