Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Vision and Hearing Program Grant - Kritz

The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received a grant from IDPH for the Vision and Hearing Program. The total grant amount is $29,260, however, $23,254 was already budgeted in County FY19 so the request is to appropriate the balance of $6,006. The grant period is July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019. Appropriation is unbalanced as grant funds will be used to offset existing salary and fringe dollars for staff. The grant supports mandated vision and hearing screening services provided by LCHD/CHC to licensed preschool/daycare facilities.
Suggested Motion
To approve the new grant funding of $6,006 from the Illinois Department of Public Health to support the Vision and Hearing program.
