Title
Proposed Revisions to the Lake County Health Department Environmental Health Fees Schedule (as authorized in Lake County Code of Ordinances Chapter 178) - Kritz
Body
The proposed revisions to the EH Fees Schedule are primarily to make language adjustments to accommodate new terminology in the recently implemented Illinois Food Code, and revisions to Chapter 173, Food Service Regulations. For example, risk category designations were changed, as was the terminology for certain violations referenced in the fee schedule. Other changes are to correct typographical errors, while another is to replace an outdated reference to “individual sewage disposal systems” in favor of “onsite wastewater treatment systems.”
Another proposed change is to add the fee for a “Holding Tank Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Annual Site Inspection,” which was inadvertently left off of the last revisions to the EH Fees Schedule that were made in 2018.
These proposed revisions to the Environmental Health Fees Schedule were reviewed and approved by the Environmental Health Advisory Committee at their February 18, 2019 meeting. A public hearing was held on March 19, 2019 to receive comments on the proposed changes, and none were received.
Suggested Motion
To approve the revisions to Lake County Health Department Environmental Health Fees Schedule as proposed.
