Regulatory Compliance
• The recent Joint Commission visit found the FQHC in compliance with the standards, with no repeat findings
• The agency is moving to continuous survey readiness in preparation for the next survey
• We have begun to redesign our survey readiness process
Providers Collaboration
• The plan is to propose, and with governing boards approval, to potentially roll out the first bonus plan June 1st
• We are recruiting for two Regional Medical Directors
• Revised peer review process for all providers
• Discussing the appropriate ratio of physicians to mid-level providers
• Contract negotiations with a local OB/GYN group to continue clinic coverage
Patient Focused
• Plan town hall meetings at each clinic over the next few months
• Reviewing the patient care survey tool currently used
Clinic Operations
• Reviewing the assessment and management of patients with health literacy
• Interviewing candidates for Director of FQHC Operations
• Plan to engage a consulting company to review LCHD FQHCs operations
• Named Interim Practice Managers at the Zion and Midlakes clinics
• An analysis of the patient volume at each FQHC clinic site to determine the optimal number of providers and staff
• Begun budgeting process for the clinics
External Relations
• Meetings with hospital administrators in the area
• Collaborative discussions with other area FQHCs
• Discussions continue with all the schools at Rosalind Franklin to determine their educational needs and contractual arrangements
• The medical school and physician assistant school has expressed interest in sending students to the LCHD
