R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hart Road, County Highway 53, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic at the intersection of Hart Road at US Route 14 is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Hart Road at US Route 14 could be improved by widening and reconstruction, and designated as Section 09-00174-05-CH; and
WHEREAS, Phase III construction engineering services are required for the Hart Road at US Route 14 widening and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a consultant engineering firm be employed to provide said Phase III construction engineering services; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.; and
WHEREAS, HR Green, Inc., McHenry, Illinois, are consulting engineers skilled in the provision of said Phase III construction engineering services; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that HR Green, Inc., McHenry, Illinois, be employed to provide said Phase III construction engineering services for Hart Road at US Route 14, and that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute, on behalf of Lake County, an agreement, and any amendments required by IDOT, for consultant engineering services between Lake County and HR Green, Inc., McHenry, Illinois, a draft copy attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement, and any amendments required by IDOT, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement, and any amendments required by IDOT, when executed in their final form, be submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation for their approval and final processing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this agreement be administered in accordance with Chapter 605, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes without further Board action providing the final contract cost chargeable under the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriations.
