• The Village of Barrington will reimburse Lake County for the engineering and construction costs associated with this work, estimated to be $281,033.
• This resolution authorizes the execution of an IGA with the Village of Barrington.
• This improvement is included in the Highway Improvement Program, with construction planned to begin in late 2019 or early 2020, and designated as Section 09-00174-05-CH.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Hart Road, County Highway 53, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, to ensure the free flow of traffic and the safety and welfare of the traveling public, Lake County and the Village of Barrington are desirous of improving Hart Road at US Route 14, by widening and reconstruction, inclusive of non-motorized improvements, and designated as Section 09-00174-05-CH; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Barrington owns a watermain and sanitary sewer within the project limits requiring modifications; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Barrington desires that the County include, as part of the improvement, the construction of a sidewalk and multi-use path, and improvements to North Hart Road which is under the Village’s jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Barrington are desirous of entering into an IGA stating the terms and conditions for the modifications to the watermain and sanitary sewer, construction of a sidewalk and multi-use path, and improvements to North Hart Road, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, are authorized, and are hereby directed to enter into an IGA and any amendments, between Lake County and the Village of Barrington stating the terms and conditions for modification to the watermain and sanitary sewer, construction of a sidewalk and multi-use path, and improvements to the intersection of Hart Road at US Route 14, and designated as Section 09-00174-05-CH.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement and any amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
