RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a WIOA grants totaling $1,100 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS, these grants are for the program period of July 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018; and
WHEREAS, this funding covers staffing expenses associated with case management activities for displaced workers impacted from multiple plant closings and lay-offs eligible under the Trade Adjustment Assistance and transportation assistance for impacted workers; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $1,100 is requested to allocate these funds into Workforce Development’s county fiscal year 2018 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that a CFY’18 emergency appropriation in the amount of $1,100 for Workforce Development is hereby approved and that the WIOA Dislocated Worker grant and Rapid Response grant modification be accepted.
