Resolution providing for the reappointments of Linda Pedersen as Lake County’s representative and Amy McEwan as Lake County’s alternate representative to the Regional 911 Consolidation Committee.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in response to Senate Bill 96 requiring additional consolidation of many Emergency Telephone System Boards and Public Safety Answering points throughout the state, the Lake County Board (Board) formed the 911 Emergency Taskforce to investigate and encourage 911 consolidation activities in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, the results of the study identified by 911 Emergency Taskforce group included potential benefits of dispatch consolidation by enhancing coverage and data sharing, as well as realizing operational savings between agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Regional 911 Consolidation Committee was formed by communities in Lake County to implement the consolidation activities recommended by the 911 Emergency Dispatch Taskforce.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that County Board Member Linda Pedersen is hereby appointed to serve as Lake County’s representative and Interim County Administrator Amy McEwan is hereby appointed to serve as Lake County’s alternate representative of the Regional 911 Consolidation Committee.
