Staff Summary
• The Des Plaines WRF provides service to portions of Deerfield, Lake Zurich, Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, Riverwoods, and Bannockburn. The project will include electrical modifications to critical pumps in the influent and filter buildings improving staff’s capability to manage excess flows during storm events.
• An invitation to bid was issued and extended to 19 qualified vendors and sealed bids were received from two non-local vendors in the amount of $30,325 to $37,094.92.
• LAI, Ltd. was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County in the amount of $30,325.
• The bid evaluation, vendor selection and final price were determined in full compliance with all applicable state and local laws and County policies.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County has a need to enter into contract for the purchase of five electric valve actuators for the Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility for the Lake County Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for the Electric Valve Actuators for the Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility for the Lake County Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued and extended to 19 qualified vendors and sealed bids were received from two non-local vendors in the amount of $30,325 to $37,094.92; and
WHEREAS, LAI, Ltd., Rolling Meadows, Illinois was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into the contract with LAI, Ltd. Rolling Meadows, Illinois for the purchase of five electric valve actuators for the Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility for the Lake County Public Works Department in the amount of $30,325, charged to 610-4854399-84100-000-000-000-48230.
