Staff Summary
* This County Board, at its meeting of November 20, 2012, authorized the execution of a Technical Services agreement with the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) for the receipt of federal "New Freedom" grant funds and appropriated $450,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for the Ride Lake County West project.
* The original appropriation accounted for the County's share of the local match plus the federal grant amount which the County pays and is reimbursed by the RTA.
* Pace's share of the local match is paid directly by Pace and therefore does not count against the County's appropriation.
* The Townships provide local funding towards this service which covers the cost of the public rides and helps offset/extend the grant funds.
* This supplemental appropriation is necessary to account for the additional Township funding and allow the County to pass through payments to Pace for the remainder of this grant.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board, at its meeting of November 20, 2012, authorized the execution of a Technical Services agreement with the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) for the receipt of federal "New Freedom" grant funds and appropriated $450,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for the Ride Lake County West project (formerly known as the Lake County Northwest Demonstration Project); and
WHEREAS, the Townships of Antioch, Avon, Grant, Lake Villa, Fremont and Wauconda provide local funding towards the Ride Lake County West service through yearly intergovernmental agreements with the County; and
WHEREAS, this additional Township funding was not anticipated at the time of the original appropriation; and
