• Miscellaneous services are needed to improve the County highway system.
• Before miscellaneous services for construction projects can be done utilizing County Bridge Tax and Matching Tax funds, an appropriation is needed.
• The acquisition of these services is included in the Highway Improvement Program.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains more than 50 bridges, approximately 300 centerline miles of designated County highways, and more than 60 miles of bike facilities on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, needs to acquire miscellaneous services from time-to-time to address items such as soil, environmental, drainage, bridge, wetland, easement and right-of-way purchases; and
WHEREAS, to acquire necessary miscellaneous services, an appropriation of funds is required each fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $85,000 of County Bridge Tax funds and $140,000 of Matching Tax funds for FY 2019 miscellaneous services needed to address items such as soil, environmental, drainage, bridge, wetland, easement and right-of-way purchases during FY 2019, and designated as Section 19-00000-02-EG.
