Staff Summary

                     Miscellaneous maintenance materials and services are needed to maintain the County highways.

                     Before materials can be ordered, or work can be done using the County Bridge Tax fund or the Matching Tax fund, an appropriation is needed.

                     The acquisition of these materials and services is included in the Highway Improvement Program.

R E S O L U T I O N

 

WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains more than 50 bridges, approximately 300 centerline miles of designated County highways, and more than 60 miles of bike facilities on the County highway system; and

 

WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, needs to acquire highway maintenance materials and services from time-to-time; and

 

WHEREAS, to acquire necessary maintenance materials and services, an appropriation of funds is required each fiscal year. 

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $31,000 of County Bridge Tax funds and $154,000 of Matching Tax funds for FY 2019 acquisition of materials and services needed to maintain items such as drainage and bridge facilities, pavements, shoulders, guardrails, fencing, signage and right-of-way, and designated as Section 19-00000-03-GM.
