Vivitrol Grant Approval - Dorn

The Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) has awarded the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) a grant in the amount of $150,000. The budget period is July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019 and the project period is one year. The project will expand and strengthen LCHD/CHC’s existing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program by providing funding for the delivery of Vivitrol, a MAT medication, to the uninsured population. Grant funds will be used to purchase the medication. LCHD/CHC will also receive a payment per injection to support the staffing costs associated with providing the medication. These payments will be used to offset existing program costs.
Suggested Motion
To approve the grant funding of $150,000 from the Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery to support the use of Vivitrol with Medication-Assisted Treatment clients.
