Staff Summary
* The existing roof and RTU's at Depke are beyond their useful life and in need of repair and replacement.
* This project is intended to improve the facilities energy code standards as well as integrate the new RTU's with the County's Building Automation System (BAS).
* An invitation to bid was issued and extended to 32 qualified vendors and sealed bids were received from two vendors in the amount of $1,270,977 to $1,739,500.
* Master Design Build was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder which best meets the needs of the County in the amount of $1,270,977.
* Funding has been secured for this service through the approved Fiscal Year 2018 Facilities Assessment budget and the contract will be managed by the Facilities and Construction Services Division.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the existing roof and RTU's at Depke are beyond their useful life and in need of repair and replacement; and
WHEREAS, this project's intent is to improve the facilities energy code standards as well as integrate the new RTU's with the County's Building Automation System (BAS); and
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was issued and extended to 32 qualified vendors and sealed bids were received from two vendors in the amount of $1,270,977 to $1,739,500; and
WHEREAS, Master Design Build, Chicago, Illinois was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County.
