Title: Discussion on Lake County Government Reform Implementation Committee Priorities and Next Steps. * The Lake County Government Reform and Accountability Commission (LCGRAC) was created by the County Board in 2017 to explore reform measures, including redistricting, the method of electing the chair, and the size of the county board. * The LCGRAC issued its final report in December 2017 with 12 recommendations and concluded that Lake County functions well and has the opportunity to be a leader in pursuing independent redistricting. * The Government Reform Implementation Committee approved a 2018 Work Plan that included the following areas in this priority order: (1) Independent redistricting (2) Clarify the roles and responsibilities of County Board Chair and County Board members (3) Review/discuss other recommendations in Commission's final report.
