R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Washington Street, County Highway 45, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, a bike path along the south side of Washington Street, from Lancer Lane to Mainsail Drive, will be constructed to expand the existing bike path corridor that includes the College of Lake County Campus; and

WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has caused to be prepared preliminary plans and ROW plats, said plats identifying ROW needs; and

WHEREAS, the ROW and associated costs are estimated to be $60,000.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board:

SECTION 1: It is hereby determined that it is necessary, and desirable, that Lake County acquire title to, and possession of, all of the real property within the proposed new ROW lines at Washington Street, from Lancer Lane to Mainsail Drive, together with construction and other easements, both temporary and permanent, for said highway, all as outlined in plats of highways made under the direction of Shane Schneider, County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, copies of which are filed in the office of the Lake County Engineer, which said...
