Resolution authorizing a contract with Garland/Design Build Solutions, Cleveland, Ohio, (Garland/DBS) for the removal and replacement of the existing roofing system at the Child Advocacy Center in Gurnee and the maintenance and repair of the roof at the Babcox Justice Center in Waukegan in an amount not to exceed $223,116.

• The existing roofing systems at Child Advocacy Center and Babcox Justice Center are beyond their useful life and in need of repair and/or replacement.
• This project which will provide new roofing systems, trim, and or downspouts that were approved as part of the 2018 Facility Assessment Program.
• Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants.
• Facilities identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Garland/DBS, Cleveland, Ohio through U.S. Communities to procure the needed materials and labor that was competitively solicited and awarded.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The existing roofing systems at Child Advocacy Center and Babcox Justice Center are beyond their useful life and in need of repair and or replacement.; and
WHEREAS, This project which will provide new roofing systems, trim, and or downspouts that were approved as part of the 2018 Facility Assessment Program; and
WHEREAS, Facilities identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Garland/DBS, Cleveland, Ohio through U.S. Communities to procure the needed materials and labor that was competitively solicited and awarded; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Garland/DBS, Cleveland, Ohio in the not to exceed amount of $223,116 for the removal, replacement and or repair of the existing roofing systems at the Child Advocacy Center in Gurnee, Illinois and Babcox Justice Center in Waukegan, Illinois charging the costs to account # 101-1103285-82020-000-000-000-F1806.
