* The WIOA formula grant funds for the PY 2018 beginning July 1, 2018 have been allocated to Lake County and are being increased by $406,985 over the PY 2017 allocation, for a total grant of $5,261,267. The WIOA PY 2018 formula grant has a grant life from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020.
* The WIOA formula grant funds for PY 2017 modification increases the grant by $37,889. The WIOA PY 2017 formula grant has a grant life from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019.
* The WIOA formula grants include funding for programs serving adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers, and youth.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a PY 2018 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funding notice totaling $5,261,267 and a PY 2017 WIOA funding modification of $37,889 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant includes funding for programs serving adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers and youth; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant terms are from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $444,871 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Development Department's county fiscal year 2018 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $444,871 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA PY 2018 Formula Grant and WIOA PY 2017 Formula Grant Modification, be accepted.
