RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Illinois Law provides that the County Board shall fix the compensation of elected officials; and
WHEREAS, Illinois Law provides that the County Board shall set the compensation for elected officials not less than six months before those officials take office; and
WHEREAS, based on the election cycle, it is now necessary to set the compensation for the County Board Chairman; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of your Financial and Administrative Committee that the compensation set forth below for the County Board Chairman be approved by this County Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the compensation for the County Board Chairman shall be as follows for the years indicated:
for the year 2019: $94,114;
for the year 2020: $97,408.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a $7,000 auto allowance and $3,000 stipend as Liquor Commissioner be authorized to the County Board Chairman.
