* The Lincoln Well House provides water service to portions of Fox Lake Hills.
* The facility was built in 1991 and certain piping, electrical, and mechanical equipment requires upgrades and modifications to convert to a Lake Michigan source of water supply.
* The project will include internal and external water piping installation, removal and replacement of existing roof, demolition and abandonment of existing tanks, replacement of existing standby generator, and associated electrical and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) work.
* An invitation to bid was extended to eight contractors and sealed bids were received from two ranging from $384,088 to $454,000. Boller Construction Company Inc. submitted the lowest responsive, responsible bid in the amount of $384,088.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains the Fox Lake Hills water supply system, which includes the Lincoln Well House; and
WHEREAS, the Lincoln Well House has been in continuous service since 1991 and installation of new piping, electrical and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are required to convert the facility to receive and distribute Lake Michigan water supplied by Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Lincoln Well House Improvements; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to eight contractors; and
WHEREAS, two sealed bids were received and publicly opened in the office of the Public Works Department on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.; and
