Staff Summary
* There is a need to enter into a contract to provide A/E demolition design and construction administration services for Winchester House.
* In accordance with the County Purchasing Ordinance, a Statement of Interest was issued for professional A/E services for the County Construction Department and responses were received from eight firms.
* Based on staff evaluations, Globetrotters Engineering is the most qualified firm to perform this work and a scope of services was negotiated for this project.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract for professional architectural and engineering Demolition Design and Construction Administration Services for Winchester House; and
WHEREAS, the contract provides for the architectural, engineering and environmental monitoring services for the development of documentation necessary for permitting, bidding, and demolition of Winchester House and adjacent satellite structures; and
WHEREAS, due to the specialized nature of this project, the County requires design services from an architectural and engineering firm qualified in demolition design; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.), the selected and recommended consultant is Globetrotters Engineering Corporation, Chicago, Illinois; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby directed to enter into a contract with Globetrotters Engineering Corporation, Chicago, Illinois in the amount of $254,212 charging the costs to account # 101-1103916-82020
